WordPress Plugins for faster loading are essential for any WordPress website. Google’s algorithm pays special attention to website loading speed
Fast page loading is one of the main factors ranking a site in search engines and a primary goal for any SEO strategy. There are many resources for checking page loading speed, the most popular of which is Google Page Speed Insight.
However, working with such an important indicator primarily depends on the CMS used to create the website. In this article we will analyze 3 main plugins for WordPress, which will help improve page loading speed.
3 WordPress plugins for faster loading
Jetpack is one of the most popular WordPress plugins. It performs many functions – from protecting the site to improving its performance. In the Pro version, additional functions are also available, but the basic version is quite enough to significantly improve page loading speed. In order to do this, enable the corresponding option on the “performance” tab.
In short – this allows you to download part of the site content from the Jetpack server, the so-called CDN download. Also, the plugin allows you to enable “lazy loading of images”, which allows you to not download them instantly when entering the site, but only when the user reaches the desired content.
Smush is the most important image size plugin. It allows you to compress all visual content and optimize it for different screen sizes – which gives a significant acceleration of the web page.
Some functions of the plugin intersect with Jetpack – for example, CDN. However, we recommend that you still use the basic features of Jetpack, and Smush should be used primarily for image compression.
WP Super Cache
WP Super Cache is a plugin that allows you to cache site pages, as well as minify CSS styles, JS and other fragments of the site. There are a lot of similar plugins, but we recommend WP Super Cache, because it is extremely easy to use. In fact, all you need to do is click one button.
This was our list of 3 WordPress plugins for faster loading. Of course, there are many more such plugins, but for the basic SEO work these three are quite enough. However, do not forget that any SEO work also includes content management, h1-6 headings, title, snippet, backlinks and many more. We will analyze these components in other articles.
